Proje finansmanında bu durumun kritik ayrımı, faaliyet dursa dahi sabit maliyetlerin — borç servisi, bakım, asgari personel, sigorta — devam etmesidir; bu yüzden gelirin sıfırlandığı bir durma, nakit tamponu yetersizse temerrüde giden en kısa yoldur. English Definition
The temporary halting of an enterprise's or facility's production and commercial activity, whether for commercial reasons, an external shock or a regulatory order. The critical distinction in project financing is that fixed costs — debt service, maintenance, minimum staffing, insurance — continue even when operations stop, so a shutdown that zeroes revenue is the shortest path to default where the cash buffer is thin. Loan agreements often define a prolonged suspension of operations as an event of default in itself.
