Yenilenebilir ve yenilenemez doğal kaynakların, tükenme hızını yenilenme ya da ikame kapasitesinin ötesine taşımadan kullanılması ilkesidir. Proje finansmanında bu ilke giderek bir kredi koşuluna dönüşmektedir: su, orman, balıkçılık ya da maden kaynağına dayanan bir projenin, kaynağın uzun vadeli taşıma kapasitesini aşması, hem düzenleyici yaptırım hem de gelir sürdürülebilirliği riski doğurur. English Definition
The principle of using renewable and non-renewable natural resources without driving their depletion beyond the capacity to regenerate or substitute. In project financing this principle is increasingly becoming a credit condition: where a project rests on water, forestry, fisheries or a mineral resource, exceeding the resource's long-term carrying capacity creates both regulatory-sanction and revenue-sustainability risk. An experienced financier compares the resource-depletion curve against the project's debt-maturity profile; if the resource is exhausted before the debt, the structure is flawed from the outset.
