English Definition
The national currency of Sweden; because Sweden remains outside the euro area, projects located there or carrying Swedish finance bear a distinct layer in matching the currency of revenue to that of debt. The Nordic capital markets are relatively deep and liquid, so krona-denominated issuance is a genuine funding option for regional infrastructure. Yet borrowing in krona against revenue arising in euro or dollars carries a long-dated currency exposure whose hedging cost is often the quiet variable that determines the economics of the transaction.
