Sendikasyonlar, bir kurumun ya da piyasanın belirli bir dönemde yürüttüğü sendikasyon işlemlerinin toplamını ve bu işlemleri yöneten iş kolunu ifade eder; bankaların sendikasyon masası (syndications desk) hem yeni işlemlerin dağıtımını hem de mevcut portföyün ikincil piyasada yönetimini üstlenir. Proje finansmanında bu masanın piyasa okuması — hangi vade, hangi sektör ve hangi teminat yapısının talep gördüğü — bir işlemin fiyatlandırılabilir olup olmadığını belirler. English Definition
Syndications refers to the aggregate of syndication transactions an institution or market executes over a period, and to the business line managing them; a bank's syndications desk handles both the distribution of new deals and the management of the existing book in the secondary market. In project finance the desk's read of the market — which tenor, sector, and security structure attracts demand — determines whether a transaction can be priced at all. The market-flex provision the desk imposes, letting price and terms adjust to demand before closing, is where risk shifts onto the borrower.
