Kademeli vade tarihlerine sahip seri tahvillerin aksine, tek bir belirlenmiş tarihte vadesi dolan tahvildir. Vadeli tahviller anapara tutarının tamamını vadede geri öder ve tahvil ömrü boyunca dönemsel faiz ödemeleri yapılır. İhraççılar genellikle toplu geri ödeme için fon biriktirmek amacıyla batan fon hükümleri oluştururak vadeli tahvil yatırımcıları için temerrüt riskini azaltır.
English Definition
A bond that matures on a single specified date, as opposed to a serial bond with staggered maturity dates. Term bonds repay the entire principal amount at maturity, with periodic interest payments during the life of the bond. Issuers often establish sinking fund provisions to accumulate funds for the bullet repayment, reducing default risk at maturity for term bond investors.
