Menkul kıymetlerin ve ödemenin fiilen el değiştirdiği takas tarihinden farklı olarak, finansal işlemin karşı taraflarca gerçekleştirildiği veya üzerinde mutabık kalındığı tarihtir. İşlem tarihi muhasebesinde işlemler gerçekleşme tarihinde, takas tarihi muhasebesinde ise teslim anında kaydedilir. İşlem tarihi her iki tarafı bağlayan sözleşmesel yükümlülükleri ve fiyat koşullarını belirler.
English Definition
The date on which a financial transaction is executed or agreed upon by the counterparties, as distinguished from the settlement date when the actual exchange of securities and payment occurs. Trade date accounting recognises transactions on the date of execution, while settlement date accounting records them upon delivery. The trade date establishes the contractual obligations and price terms binding on both parties.
