Bir şirketin açık piyasadan veya hissedarlardan geri satın alarak kendi bünyesinde tuttuğu kendi hisse senedidir. Hazine payları oy hakkı taşımaz, temettü almaz ve hisse başına kazanç hesaplamasına dahil edilmez. Şirketler hissedarlara sermaye iadesi yapmak, çalışan hisse senedi opsiyon programlarını desteklemek veya piyasadaki mevcut hisse sayısını azaltarak düşmanca devralmaları önlemek amacıyla hazine payı edinir.
English Definition
A share of a company's own stock that has been repurchased from the open market or shareholders and is held by the company itself. Treasury shares do not carry voting rights, do not receive dividends, and are not included in the calculation of earnings per share. Companies acquire treasury shares to return capital to shareholders, support employee stock option programmes, or prevent hostile takeovers by reducing the number of shares available in the market.
