Bir tahvil veya kredi iskontosunun, enstrümanın vadesi boyunca periyodik itfa yoluyla henüz giderleştirilmemiş kalan kısmı. Bilançoda karşı borç kalemi olarak görünür ve borcun defter değerini nominal değerinin altına düşürür. İtfa süreci ilerledikçe itfa edilmemiş iskonto azalır ve defter değeri vade sonunda nominal değere yakınsar.
English Definition
The remaining portion of a bond or loan discount that has not yet been expensed through periodic amortisation over the instrument's life. It appears as a contra-liability on the balance sheet, reducing the carrying value of the debt below its face value. As amortisation proceeds, the unamortised discount decreases and the carrying amount converges toward par at maturity.
