Katlanılan fiili genel gider maliyetlerinin, önceden belirlenmiş oranlar kullanılarak üretime veya proje faaliyetlerine dağıtılan genel gider tutarını aşması durumu. Ortaya çıkan fark, yükleme oranının çok düşük belirlendiğini veya üretim hacminin beklentilerin altında kaldığını gösterir. Eksik yüklenen genel giderler, satılan malın maliyetine yapılan düzeltmeler veya stok ve yarı mamullere dağıtım yoluyla muhasebeleştirilmelidir.
English Definition
The condition in which actual overhead costs incurred exceed the amount of overhead allocated to production or project activities using predetermined rates. The resulting variance indicates that the absorption rate was set too low or that production volume fell short of expectations. Underabsorbed overhead must be accounted for through adjustments to cost of goods sold or allocated across inventory and work-in-progress.
