English Definition
A guarantee that is absolute and unconditional, requiring the guarantor to perform upon demand without the right to raise defences or set conditions. The guarantor assumes full liability for the guaranteed obligation regardless of any disputes between the primary parties. Unqualified guarantees are highly valued by beneficiaries and lenders because they provide certainty of recourse in the event of the principal debtor's default.
