English Definition
Unsecured credit is a form of lending in which no collateral is required from the borrower to support the credit facility. Approval is granted primarily on the basis of the borrower's credit rating, cash flow projections, and overall financial health. Due to the absence of asset backing, unsecured credit facilities generally carry higher pricing and more restrictive covenants to mitigate lender exposure.
