Sigorta konusunun değerinin sözleşmenin başlangıcında, hasar anındaki fiili piyasa değerinden bağımsız olarak karşılıklı mutabakatla belirlendiği sigorta poliçesidir. Tam hasar durumunda sigortacı, gerçek kayıp tutarının kanıtlanmasını aramaksızın mutabık kalınan değeri öder. Hasar sonrası piyasa değerinin tespitinin güç olduğu deniz sigortası ve sanat eseri sigortasında yaygın olarak kullanılır.
English Definition
An insurance policy in which the insured value of the subject matter is agreed upon and fixed at the time of contract inception, regardless of the actual market value at the time of loss. In the event of a total loss, the insurer pays the agreed value without requiring proof of the actual loss amount. Valued policies are commonly used in marine insurance and fine art insurance, where determining post-loss market value can be difficult or contentious.
