Stok ve emtia finansmanında bu kontroller çoğu zaman habersiz ve bağımsız denetçilerce yürütülür; zira önceden haber verilen bir sayım, aynı malın birden fazla alacaklıya teminat gösterilmesi ya da boş depoların dolu gibi sunulması gibi klasik suistimalleri yakalamakta yetersiz kalır. English Definition
A physical and documentary control performed to verify whether goods declared as stored in a warehouse actually exist and whether their quantity and quality match the records. In inventory and commodity finance these checks are often carried out unannounced by independent inspectors, since a count notified in advance is insufficient to catch classic abuses such as pledging the same goods to multiple creditors or presenting empty warehouses as full. The frequency and method of the check determine the strength of the lender's actual oversight over the collateral.
